Wedding planning goes wrong in a predictable way. Nothing is hard on its own, but there are roughly two hundred small decisions, they depend on each other, and they arrive out of order. You book a venue in March and then realize in September that the invitations needed to go out in July.

This checklist fixes the ordering problem. It is a full wedding planner laid out as a twelve-month timeline, so every task sits in the month it actually needs to happen rather than in one long undated list.

It is deliberately not a scrapbook. There are no inspiration collage pages or quote pages padding out the count. Every page is something you fill in and act on.

Formats and printing

You get four files: US Letter and A4, each in a standard version and a fillable version. Print the whole thing, or print the sections you want and add them to a binder as you go.

The pages are designed for plain home-printer paper. If you want something sturdier for a binder, 32 lb paper holds up well without needing a print shop. Our printing guide covers paper weights in more detail.

Questions

How far out should I start using it?

The timeline starts at twelve months and runs through the week after the wedding. If you have less than a year, start at whichever month matches your date and work forward from there — nothing earlier is required, it just moves the pace up.

Can I type into it instead of printing?

Yes. The fillable versions let you type directly into the PDF and save your answers, so you can keep it on a laptop or tablet and print only the pages you want in a binder.

Does it work outside the US?

Yes. Every page comes in A4 as well as US Letter, and the checklist avoids US-specific vendor assumptions where it can.

Is this the same as the invitation templates?

No. The invitation templates are editable Canva designs you customize and print. This is a ready-made PDF planner — nothing to edit, just download and print.
