A useful budget page should do more than list categories. Tracking both estimates and actual costs makes it easier to see where you have room and where costs are starting to move.

Use broad categories first, then add detail
Start with venue, food, photo, attire, flowers, entertainment, rentals and stationery. Once your major costs are clear, add sub-items such as alterations, postage, signage, transportation, favors or last-minute supplies.

Budget for the costs that happen near the end
Final weeks can include vendor balances, tips, beauty appointments, transportation, printing and small decor purchases. Leaving a buffer can make those expenses less stressful.
